Neuropsychology links mental functioning to the brain, so that problems with thinking, emotions, or behaviour can be linked to problems with brain function.
We are able to administer the full range of neuropsychological tests, to identify or rule out problems with brain function that might be underlying psychological problems.
Having identified precisely which brain areas and mental processes are affected, we can create and implement a treatment plan.
We have experience of assessing and treating people of all ages, for therapeutic or educational purposes, or as part of legal proceedings (e.g. in personal injury cases).
Problems that we can assess and help with;
- Dementias and other neurodegenerative conditions (e.g. Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Huntingdons)
- Brain injury
- Specific learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia)
- Memory problems
- Concentration and attention problems
- Planning and decision-making problems
- Language and reasoning problems
- Reading, visual, and perceptual problems
