I am a Clinical Psychologist who provides evidence-based interventions for a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, phobias, trauma, work related stress, chronic pain, eating disorders, head injuries and adjustment disorders. I have extensive experience working with people with physical health problems such as chronic pain, concussion and adjusting to life post injury. 

I have experience and an interest in neurodiversity and neuropsychology and also complete assessments in these areas. I take an individualised approach with all clients, and pride myself in providing a compassionate and safe therapeutic space.

Christiana is trained in a range of modalities from; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). Christiana works with clients in an integrative way to suit their individual needs.

Christiana has experience working with individuals with a range of different mental health difficulties such as; anxiety, depression, chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment difficulties, phobias, head injury, sports people, disordered eating, perfectionism, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar, women's health, and assessment of neurodivergence (ADHD and ASD). Christiana also has a strong passion for viewing health holistically and strives to integrate evidence-based practice, both mental and physical health approaches, in her clinical practice.

Christiana has experience working with people across the lifespan and from various cultural backgrounds. She has experience  working with LGBTQIA+ people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Prior to joining CPG, Christiana was working at a private rehabilitation and injury management company in New Zealand. In this role she provided assessment and individual therapy to clients with a wide range of mental health problems but those predominantly experiencing chronic pain, concussion, adjusting to life post injury and sports people. As injury can impact a wide range of individuals, her clients would often present with additional difficulties alongside their injury, such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD and ASD and more. Alongside these services she would see private clients for a range of reasons such as, ADHD assessments, woman’s health and OCD. This role also equipped her with valuable experience in working with diverse cultural backgrounds and individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

During her training, Christiana worked at an Eating Disorder service, whereby she assessed and supported clients with disordered relationships with food. Alongside this team, she also worked for an Adult Community Mental Health service where she supported clients with a range of moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Christiana has also worked at an Forensic Intellectual Disability service, offering rehabilitation to adolescents and adults with intellectual disabilities.
