As a HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist, I offer a wealth of experience and multicultural understanding. My diverse heritage (Thai, Vietnamese, Laotian, and Chinese) enables me to deeply appreciate and navigate multiculturalism, diversity, and family dynamics. Fluent in English and Thai, I've conducted over 4,000 psychological therapy sessions, working with clients from the UK, EU countries, USA, Nigeria, Turkey, India, Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand.

I earned my doctorate in counselling psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University and a master’s degree in psychology with Merit (2:1) from the University of Stirling. Additionally, I was a fellow of the Dalai Lama Fellows program at the University of Virginia (US, 2018-2019), where I practiced mind training to enhance self-awareness, self-care, resilience, and cross-cultural connections. In 2020, I received a certificate in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for Life from The University of Oxford Mindfulness Centre.

Palm’s expertise spans across a range of issues including PTSD, ADHD, ASD, depression, burnout, and anxiety. He adopts an integrated therapeutic approach, tailoring CBT, Person centred therapy, and mindfulness practices to the unique needs of each client. Palm’s practice is characterised by an open-minded, flexible, and culturally sensitive approach, ensuring effective communication and understanding with clients from diverse backgrounds.

In addition to his clinical practice, Palm served as one of 10 ambassadors on a global clinical advisory board for a major mental health organisation, supporting provider programming, growth, and retention across 500 organisations in over 200 countries. This role involved advising clinical recruiting teams to shape the provider and member growth and retention strategies, strengthening the organisation's brand and presence in the UK, and reviewing public relations from a culturally relevant client sales perspective. This experience further enhances Palm’s ability to deliver culturally competent and globally informed care.

With extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults (ranging from junior programmers to executive directors), and the elderly, Palm understands that embarking on a therapeutic journey can be daunting. He is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. He believes in a personalised approach to therapy, recognising that each individual's journey is unique.

Palm’s goal is to help his clients tap into their inner resources, find greater clarity and purpose, and ultimately live a more fulfilling life. He strives to be an honest ‘mirror’, helping his clients to see their issues and goals more clearly. While he provides a safe space for exploration, Palm also gently challenges his client’s thoughts and perspectives to offer holistic insights and practical tools for achieving their goals.

Furthermore, Palm has presented webinars and seminars on various psychological topics to several corporate audiences, including talks to employees at Microsoft as well as to managers and entrepreneurs at conferences and online forums. He has also appeared in the media contributing to features for CNBC News.
